Services we provide

We support people who are experiencing accidental or involuntary loss of:

  • wee (urine) from the bladder (urinary incontinence), or
  • poo (faeces) or wind (flatus) from the bowel (faecal incontinence).

The clinical nurse specialist will first assess your continence issue. This can be done:

  • in the clinic
  • by phone or Zoom
  • in your home.

We will give you advice on how to best manage your continence problem.

Our services include:

  • bladder and bowel management care and advice
  • bladder retraining programmes
  • providing information to you and your whānau or caregivers
  • consultation and advice if you have medication-induced incontinence
  • referral to a pelvic floor physiotherapist for assessment and treatment
  • liaison with GPs, urologists, gynaecologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dieticians if needed
  • advice on how to access and use continence products.

We may invite you to come back for an annual reassessment.
