Mental Health and Addictions Service
Mental Health & Addictions provides mental health and addictions services to the population of the Te Whatu Ora Lakes region.
Mental health services are delivered throughout the Te Whatu Ora Lakes district in Rotorua, Taupō and satellite clinics covering Tūrangi and Mangakino.
Staff in the Mental Health and Addiction Service are committed to supporting service users through their journey of recovery.
Staff provide specialist assessment, intervention and support for those adults, adolescents and children who are experiencing mental illness and/or addiction issues.
The aim of the service is to minimise disruption to the lives of patients and their families/whanau, which is why the majority of services are delivered in the community with inpatient services available, if required.
Whare Whakaue is an inpatient facility located at Rotorua Hospital.

We also have a number of other mental health projects to serve our community.
