The Health & Disability Commissioner's Office (HDC)
The HDC work towards the promotion and protection of the rights of health and disability service consumers.  They can be contacted directly or they may refer you on to one of their regional consumer advocates.

The Privacy Commissioner
The Commissioner works with the Privacy Act (1993) to promote and protect individual privacy relating to health information.  Generally, the office deals with the principles related to the collection, use and disclosure by private and public sector agencies.
