Lakes District Health Board Values

Lakes DHB has three organisational values.  They are:

Manaakitanga Respect and acknowledgement of each other's intrinsic value and contribution
Integrity Truthfully and consistently acting collectively for the common good
Accountability Collective and individual ownership for clinical and financial outcomes and sustainability

 

 

 

 
As part of the consultation work for the 2005-2015 District Strategic Plan for Lakes, members of the community and staff provided feedback on the values they believe are appropriate.  As a result of the consultation and feedback, the following values emerged and were approved by the DHB Executive in August 2005.

 Background:  When the Lakes District Health Board was set up in 2001, a series of consultation meetings across the district resulted in the DHB adopting a set of 14 values. Feedback from the staff satisfaction survey in 2003 indicated that the organisation had too many values and staff did not have a clear idea of what the 14 values were.
