Super Saturday - spread the word

If you’re part of the 20 per cent in New Zealand who have NOT yet had a vaccination, it’ll be super easy to get vaccinated this coming Super Saturday.

Super Saturday 16 October is our big, nationwide push for vaccination. It’s never been more urgent to get New Zealand vaccinated.

Summer’s only two months away and we need everyone to book their first vaccine appointment now so they can get two doses and enjoy everything summer has to offer.

See below for where you can get your first or second shot of the Pfizer vaccination in the Lakes DHB area this Saturday:


We have seven vaccination venues in Rotorua on Super Saturday.

If you need to travel by bus to get to a vaccination site on Saturday ...... you can travel on the City Ride buses FOR FREE. If you’re going to get a vaccination and hopping on a City Ride bus on Super Saturday 16 October, just let the bus driver know and you’ll get free travel. 


There’s a range of free food and coffee, spot prizes and lucky draws for giveaways at the different vaccination venues.

The Lakes DHB COVID-19 vaccination hub at Central Mall is open 8am-6pm – you can book an appointment or just drop in.  Coffees in the morning, barbeque, Mr Whippy and spot prizes available.  


We also have a Pasifika event 2-4pm at the hub at the Central Mall


The Te Arawa Drive through Vaccination centre in the old Foodstuffs building at 33 Clayton Road is open 12 noon to 6pm.  Hangi meals available. 

You can get a vaccination at the Fordlands Community Centre, Bellingham Crescent 10am -2pm. Hangi meals, fruit and bottled water available. 

Ranolf Medical Centre will be open 10am to 2pm, by appointment or walk-ins. Spot prizes available. 



Owhata Pharmacy, 556 Te Ngae Road, 9am-12noon. Walk ins.


Unichem Central Pharmacy,1181 Amohia Street, 9am -4.30pm.


Unichem The Mall Pharmacy, Amohau Street, 9am -5.30pm


 We have an all day party at our Taupo vaccination hub at Unit 6, 29 Totara St.The Lakes DHB COVID-19 vaccination hub is open 8am-6pm – book an appointment or just drop in. 

There will be lots to eat and drink, lots of giveaways and some big prizes you can go into   the draw for. We have 20 $250 Contact power vouchers as prizes.


 Whakamaru School, 42 Kaahu School, Whakamaru 10am to 3pm, drive through. Food and spot prizes.


Mainstreet Pharmacy, Tongariro St in Taupo is providing vaccinations from 5.30-7.30pm. You need to book but call at any time to see if there are any cancellations. 


In Turangi the Drive through is open at the Pihanga Health Centre Carpark from 9am to 4.45pm.  Sausage sizzle, Mr Whippy and spot prizes available.
